Palm Jumeirah, with its stunning palm-shaped design, is a true emblem of Dubai. This artificial island comprises three distinct parts: the trunk, where trendy apartments are predominantly found; the 16 palm leaves, which are home to numerous exclusive villas; and the crescent-shaped ring, which mainly hosts luxurious hotels with breathtaking sea views.
The ambitious real estate developer Nakheel Properties began building the island in August 2001. Today, Palm Jumeirah is 95% developed and remains extremely popular among affluent investors in particular. The island offers an array of properties in the luxury segment. The number of transactions involving luxury real estate on Palm Jumeirah has soared in recent years. From an investors’ perspective, it will be interesting to see what opportunities are presented by the planned island Palm Jebel Ali, which is set to be twice as big.
